The female warrior ran her fingers through her silver hair, trying to gently comb out the wild tangles ever multiplying in her mane. The wind was strong today because of the storm that could be seen coming in from the distance, east she believed. Black clouds were heading towards the small and tropical island, ever awaiting for it to shroud it in darkness and rain. Vain sighed as her blue eyes stared out at the sea, watching as the tides were growing faster and stronger as she wind did as well. "This doesn't look good." The bounty hunter thought while pushing herself up from the ground. She patted at her legs and rump, clearing it from sand before picking up her sword, and once again looked out at the sea. "I have been slacking..." she mentally hissed at herself while reaching into her left leggings pocket and pulled out a crumbled up piece of paper. The girl began to bend back the folds before using her leg to crease out and smooth the paper so she could take another look at it. This had to be the hundredth time she read the flier, but it seemed to motivate her. It said: [/color]
"Better find him before the storm gets here."
Vain muttered while placing the flier back inside her thin lined pocket. A flash of lightning danced in the distance, grabbing her attention. "Very soon." The warrior thought before heading out towards the village, that was undoubtedly preparing for the storm drawing ever closer to find her money target.

Yuna, who had been lesuirely lying around Besaid beach, looked up to the sky. She watched as the dark clouds began to spread themselves over the island. She felt a drop of rain fall, slowly followed by another, and then another. Soon it became continuous, and not wanting to get completely soaked Yuna looked around for some kind of shelter to wait out the rain to stop in. There was a small hut nearby the the area in which the boats took off from Besaid or arrived at Besaid. She hurried inside, and being the High Summoner even if anyone had been in there too they wouldn't have refused letting her stay in there for the rain to end. But the hut was empty, and so Yuna sat on the wooden chair in the corner of the small hut, and waited.
<<Just a quick note that there IS in fact a small sort of hut nearby the boat area in Besaid. I've never understood why it's there, but I've decided to use it for the purpose of this RP>>

Miyu opened her hut's cloth excuses for doors and stuck her hand out. A steady amount of rain wet her hand, and she cupped it before swallowing the rain water. Her usual red garb was replaced with a simple shirt and pants, the shirt made herself with the help of the village people. She closed the 'door' and began to walk around her small hut, opening chests here and there. Finally she found what she was looking for. A red vest with hood. She threw it on and walked out, pushing up the hood. She kept one hand on her head and jogged to the edge of the town. She set herself down and crossed her legs. She held her head on her hand and the trees sway. The rain batted her face, and she slipped the hood down to feel it. Though people might not see it, it was a simple enjoyment to her.

Yuna, who had been leisurely lying around Besaid beach, looked up to the sky.
With each drop of rain, the bounty hunter became more annoyed with her surrounds. She had only made it to the other side of the white and golden sand beach before it started to down pour. With a heavy heart Vain called off her search for the killer, well until the storm ended and then would begin again. It ate her up inside, how far ahead this mad man could get ahead of her between now and when ever the storm could end. The warrior cussed as her eyes stared around the beach, looking for anything that may provide her shelter. Her deeply colored eyes widen upon seeing a small hut or shack, either way it looked comfortable and peaceful. She sighed and made her way over to the hut, practically having to climb over the over turned boats because of how they were laid and because of her shortness.
"Hello? Is anyone in th..."
Vain called out, but stopped when she stared upon the face of the ex-high summoner. There was a slight amount of anger building up within her chest, causing her to shake. For she was no longer ordered to hunt Yuna and her guardians, that stopped over two years ago. There was still some hatred. Why did Yuna have to do that to Yevon? Why did they do what they did on their journey to defect Sin. It ate her up inside for not knowing the real truth, leaving a hole in her heart. How badly she wanted to take out her blade and run the girl through... it was tempting, yet she realized Yuna was no longer wanted by Spira. The warrior began to calm herself slowly, truly wondering why she hated Yuna still, after all this time. "Because of what she did. What they did." She answered her own question, gob-smacked by it. She continued to stare at the old summoner, her body no longer shaking with anger though.

Miyu wasn't disturbed when a thunderclap rocked the island, and a lightening bolt flash across her closed eyes. She understood and enjoyed thunder and lightening, it seemed to give her more energy. She continued to 'meditate' (though she didn't consider it as such) a period of time. As sudden as the flash of another lightening bolt, she flipped backward In a perfect arch. She back flipped once and began to attack with her fists an unseen enemy.
Thunder sounded shortly after a lightening bolt. Miyu was starting to get worried. "I didn't know Besaid has such brutal storms." She muttered. She bristled at the thought of a tidal wave. She started toward the village, but stopped and began running the other direction. If a tidal wave was coming, she'd be the first to know, and perhaps be able to warn the town. The wind was blowing toward her, meaning the town wouldn't see any waves coming toward them.

Yuna looked up at the source of someone calling out and saw Vain. "Hello there. Nasty storm ne?" she asked, smiling. Well, even the greatest of tradgedies or storms, for some reason Yuna could keep smiling. But she sensed her being in this hut wasn't exactly wanted. Then she had a thought. "I'm sorry. Is this your hut? I honestly didn't know who it belonged to so I thought I'd stay in here for a little while, until the storm calmed down a bit. I'm really sorry for intruding if it is!" she babbled, hardly taking any breath to say her sentence.

Surge lay on the rocks face down with a sharp pain in his skull and a strange headrush sensation. He tried to force himself out but gave up quickly when he found he would get no strength from his arms at all. A faint taste of blood spattered in his throat when he tried to speak... he couldnt even call for help. He lay on a seaside cliff with the water quickly rising his blonde hair now full of sand. He managed to turn his head and stare out at the ocean with wide sea-green eyes, he felt no emotion. He couldnt even remember his own name, he only knew one thing for certain, he loved the water, then he thought, why would it turn on me like this... how did this happen? He felt horribly helpless, he could do nothing but lay and wait among the wreckage of what appeared to be a ship allthough only small pieces were visable. So he lay there and slowly shut his eyes.

Maybe it was fate, maybe destiny, or maybe just a chance coincidence, but heading toward the ocean was probably the best thing she could've done. The darkness of the brutal storm shortened her line of sight, but she could make out something lying on the beach. It was too small to be a monster or something of the sort, so she jogged over to it. Once Miyu saw the man, she knelt down and listened for breathing. She turned her head toward the sea and saw a distant outline of a broken ship. She nudged the man, whispering "Get up, the tide is going to drown you!" She didn't really know what else to do, so she waited until he responded.

Surge thuoght he heard a voice, a faint voice but that meant someone, anyone was nearby. He pryed his eyelids open and took in a sharp breath as he saw it was a woman. He knew he was in danger and knew he was completely incapable of handling this one himself, but he still had a small sense of pride and dispite all pain managed to mouth a couple of words. "Thank You." He couldnt think of anything else to say, he hadnt even gotten a good look at her but he rolled onto his back painfully and lay there. now he felt more aware, he was bleeding profusely from just above his eye, blood streaming down his face occasionally wiped away by the spray of the ocean. Broken ribs he suspected and then he looked down slowly and saw a large shard of his boat (if indeed it had been his boat) imbedded in his leg. He could not move, but he was vaguely back to his senses, feeling the pain more than ever. He was thankful for the woman and looked up at her, rain splashing violently into his eyes.

Miyu could see his wounds were beyond any first aid training she had learned. She looked wildly around, just as a shadow appeared over her. Her reflexes were flipped on, and she grabbed what was left of the man's clothes and dug into the sand just in time. The wave crashed over the two of them, but she held. The storm was getting too violent, she would have to try and move him. She cleared her eyes and began to scan the island. She didn't see anyone, but a small hut was apparent. Half of her mind told her to scream for help, but the storm was making it too hard to hear her own thoughts, much less words. I knew I should have paid more attention in First Aid She thought, a bit abashed at herself. She turned back to the man. "Can you stand up?" Can you even hear me? "If not, I'm going to have to either leave or risk dragging you." Both sounded like pretty bad ideas.

Surge had barely heard what the Woman had said, he stared up at her. he was somewhat aware of what she had asked and he knew he had to try. He folded his right arm behind him and pushed himself up off the sand groaning with pain at the broken ribs in his side. His helplessness was starting to anger him when suddenly he felt something... someone said something to him... but it had not been the woman... the voice had come from inside his head. It sounded exactly like his own voice, like he was yelling at himself. Something was wrong, something was inside of him, something angry. He strived to resist it but knew he needed its help. He slowly lifted himself up by his one good leg wich made his blood rush speeding the gush from his leg. he blacked out in his mind, but his body still moved, his eyes took on a yellow hugh as he forced himself up grunting with pain, he knew he couldnt walk... unless he had help

Alright, he needs help. She helped him up, and tried to help him carry himself akwardly. This started out as a promising day, too. She thought to herself. "The shack isn't that far," She said, and it wasn't, but right now it seemed miles away.

The Shack came more and more vividly into view, he was beginning to focus again. he had track of time, and unfortunately the numbing sensation he had before vanished. He felt the pain more ferociously now, he grunted with pain at every step. Then.. when they got closer, he swore he heard more voices coming from inside the shack. once they reached it he stumbled inside, passing out again. he felt weak, very weak, the walk had taken alot out of him.

When sin had fallen, not all it's spawn had gone. Many still lingered. A group of those fiends roared in anger at the soaked form of Brashen trell, and ran at him, leaping over the smoking corpse of the first one he hit the gunshot blowing a hole in it's head. The thunder had covered the noise of this opening shot The rain was driving down on him in icy sheets, as he swore oudly, his voice unheard over the noise of the howling wind and raging sea. There were more than he had thought, and he felt angered at his own stupidity, tracking in a storm like this was an amaturistic. Oh well, too late for regrets. Bringing his rifle to bear on the oncoming rush of fiends, he fired of a few shots, roughly seven he thought, felling a few, but the wind and rain in his face had spoiled his aim. He threw his rifle to the floor, as it splashed in the rain and mud, and drew his sword. It came out with a silken sound, as he dodged to the side, slicing the first fiend in half as it ran past him, and brought his sword round in a wide arc, slicing through anothers head. A third pounced at him, hitting him and sendeing him into the mud. Though he had managed to drive his blade into its chest, it's body pinned him to the mudy, bog like floor, his sword uselesly lodged in its chest. Another came climbing over the inert body pinning it's prey to the floor. Brashen prayed some one who could help had heard those shots as he strugled, covered in mud and blinded by the rain.
